Ive been asked several times about basic chargers for tag weapons.
Pretty much the simplest (and also cheapest) option is a basic trickle charger. Ive been using these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Trickle-charger-for-NiCd-NiMH-battery-packs_W0QQitemZ360119401429QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_ToysGames_RadioControlled_JN?hash=item53d8c9fbd5&_trksid=p4634.c0.m14.l1262 as they will handle and pack voltage commonly used.
For those that have guns Ive built Ive used a couple of different connectors in the past, these are a 3.5mm headphone socket or a 2.5mm DC power socket.
On both types the centre is wired to positive.
The charger linked above comes with a 2.1.. DC jack so for 2.5mm you can get a simple plug on adapter from somewhere like Maplins.
For the headphone jack you can pick one of those up from there too and wire it up or contact me and I'll make an adapter for you. _________________ Phil Higgins

Thanks for the tip, I've been having a few charging problems as of late mostly down to lack of a decent charger!
I'll give this a go and see how it does. _________________ Seagoon: Private! I've got some bad news!
